Mei Ling Clinic - Queenstown

I want to give no star. I really don’t understand how the number works. I came at 7.45am, was the second patient in the line. Clinic starts taking number at 8am and I only got number 9. I waited till 9.46am and saw many people later than we already visited the doctor but I’m still waiting. I asked the assistant , she said those with appointments, you just wait awhile. Unfortunately, most of the clinics in Singapore are slow, very slow. Even there is little patients but the doctor still proceed very slow. I really doubt the medical system in Singapore whom called itself as a first class country.

It was a Sunday most clinics were not open and I had to find a company appointed clinic thus I found this as it was the nearest to my house. I reached at 10:30 when clinic closes at 1130. The older receptionist was super rude. She said there’s too many people in the queue, rejected me and asked me to go to another clinic. I told them If I could I would, but I might need a referral letter to a specialist so I need to find a company appointed clinic. Despite me trying to explain so many times she just kept asking me to leave saying they cannot see me. Is the doctor going to see me or her? Whereas receptionist celest was patient and nice and told me to leave my number if they can take me they would. At 11:15 I went back again to see if they could see me, that old rude lady rejected me again and this time infront of me she still said “eh celest still have 4 more patients eh” but celest still helped me to asked the doctor and I was able to see the doctor as the last patient. Really thankful for receptionist celest and the doctor on that day. To be honest, even if I didn’t manage to see the doctor I would not be pissed if she at least tried to help. But the way she talked to me as if like I owed her a living and I’m causing her to OT on purpose. I would like to tell the old rude lady if she is so unhappy with her job, don’t work. In this line, you need at least abit of empathy but she has NONE!

Will share my experience in due time and its now. Female doctor is experienced, informative and polite. 2nd time there, despite the long wait, which patrons have been informed, the crucial part is seeing the doctor. From assessing the situation, doctor has explained well of my condition, how I should take my medication and expectations of it. Which I've been to a few clinics, doctor will just prescribed the medicine and off you go. My personal experience is good here, the wait is worth. Doctor maybe loud to give instructions to the staff, personally felt she has to ensure operations won't mess things up, on the contrary, patients are in good hands. The intention was good. 😊
